GTC Hungary Appoint Cushman & Wakefield as Exclusive Leasing Agents on Duna Tower, Budapest
Budapest, 26th January 2015 – GTC has mandated Cushman & Wakefield, the global real estate advisors, as their exclusive leasing agents on the iconic Duna Tower office building, which was acquired by GTC in late 2015.
Duna Tower is one of the most landmark office buildings in Budapest, located close to the Arpad bridge on the banks of the River Danube in Budapest’s popular XIIIth office district. Duna Tower is one of the only high rise office properties in Hungary (circa 60 meters high) offering over 31,500m2 of Grade A office space (GLA) over Ground and 15 upper levels. The property offers incredible panoramic views over the Danube, and around Budapest. Duna Tower also has circa 400 car spaces in the secure underground car park.
GTC are currently finalising details for a significant refurbishment of the common areas, as well as improving the technical capabilities of the building, in order to ensure it remains attractive to the building's existing quality and prospective tenants.
Duna Tower currently has just over 6,000m2 of available office space on various office suites, and contiguous areas, extending from 152 – 1.580m2.
David M Johnston MRICS, Partner, Head of Office Agency at Cushman & Wakefield commented on the success: ‘’Duna Tower is one of the flagship office buildings in Budapest, dominating the skyline from an office perspective. We are delighted to be mandated by GTC on this exciting scheme and, knowing their plans for the upgrade of the building, are very confident we can lease the available circa 6,000 sqm in the short-term to quality tenants’’.
